Funding Opportunities and Travel Grants

The Graduate School offers a number of funding opportunities, such as travel grants to help with fieldworks costs and other expenses.  Details of these can be found below. The University and Colleges also offer various opportunities, including a Hardship Fund. Details of University funding can be found on the University's FundCam database.  Details of College funding can be found on individual College websites.

 

TH Middleton Fund

The TH Middleton Fund provies grants to enable Graduate Students working on subjects connected with agriculture to travel for the purpose of study or research.  Further information on the fund can be found on the Universities Statutes and Ordinances webpage.  Click here for a link to the application form.  The deadline for submission of applications for 2012/2013 is 31st January 2013.

 

E G Fearnside Fund

The Fearnside Fund provides grants to enable members of the University working on subjects connected with organic diseases of the nervous system to travel for the purpose of study or research.   Funds can be used to travel to attend conferences or other research project-related activities.  Further information on the fund can be found on the Universities Statutes and Ordinances webpage.  Click here for a link to the application form.  Deadlines for submission of applications for 2012/2013 are:

Lent term 2013:     Friday 15th March 2013

We are the largest centre for research and professional training in the Life Sciences in the UK, offering a very special experience to a community of around 2000 graduate students across departments within the School of the Biological Sciences, School of Clinical Medicine and eleven University Partner Institutes in the Cambridge area.
